Known as the "Ideas into Action Coach"
Karen was a passionate Business Coach who created transformational learning experiences and platforms where business owners discovered innovative strategies and practical tactics to build successful, scalable businesses. She helped her clients find the clarity they needed to build businesses they loved by focusing on their strengths, and she provided the confidence, tools, and tactics required to gain and maintain momentum—truly turning ideas into action.
A house by the sea spurred her to pick up her businesses and move halfway across the country to Scotland to start anew—a feat filled with challenges that she met with unwavering determination. Known as the woman with the clicker, she made it her mission to meet 1,000 people in just 8 weeks, first in Edinburgh and then in Glasgow.
Throughout her 30-year career, Karen helped public sector organisations build inspirational, high-achieving teams and make transformative change happen. Her legacy of guidance, motivation, and empowerment lives on in the lives she touched.
Karen had a huge impact on countless individuals. She is still fondly remembered by those she influenced and helped, and her spirit continues to inspire new generations. Today, her extensive collection of business, leadership, and self-improvement books forms the "Karen Yates Collection" at East Lothian Libraries, ensuring that her wisdom and passion for growth live on.
